We care for trees at every stage of their life. That said, each tree has its own needs. Some need pruned, others need re-structuring and some unfortunately need to be removed. Although it may seem like anyone with a saw can trim a tree, a professional can determine the specific treatment needed to improve the health and appearance of that tree. A distressed tree could end up as furniture or even firewood, but it will always have more value as a beautiful, thriving tree.

Pruning

By pruning we can direct the growth of trees to enhance their performance and function, adding aesthetics and value to the property. Pruning can increase the structural strength of trees, the productivity of fruit trees, the quality and size of flowers and fruit and the esthetic appeal of the natural beauty. Pruning as a part of training young trees can best ensure structurally strong mature trees that will be safer and require less corrective pruning.

Removals

Although trees provide many benefits to society and our environment, they may also pose a risk. Nearly every tree has some potential to fail, especially when exposed to a catastrophic storm. We can evaluate the tree hazard potential, but also convey the relative risk of failure to tree owners. Together we can evaluate and determine which treatment options can reduce the tree hazard. Some common characteristics of tree failure and reason for removal branch or tree removal: Unusual storm event, weak branch attachment, decay, heavy end weight, recent exposure, lean, dead branches and crown decline.

Emergency Services

We are available 24 hours / 7 days a week to serve you

Vertical Mulching

This treatment is used to improve the growing conditions in the root zone. We create holes approximately 2” in diameter and 18’ deep, spaced 1.5’-4.5’ apart with an auger. We fill the holes with organic beneficial microbes to enrich the soil.

Chipping Stump Grinding

We chip brush piles.  We grind stumps of any size. We can also haul away the grindings and amend the soil for replanting.

Consultation / Diagnosis

The health of your trees is something we do best! By examining them, we can determine how to best treat them!

Cables Bracing / Animal Habitats / Swings

Trees may develop weak or poor structure, in some cases tree support systems may be installed to redistribute mechanical stress. Cabling systems consists of wire secured to anchors inserted in the wood.

Ornamental Pruning

We consider this for specimen and ornamental trees. Garden Societies rave about our Ornamental Pruning.

Tree Inventories

This is an accurate survey of existing trees used to determine location, species, size, condition and landscape value. The results from the inventory will describe the general needs and recommendations for the location.

Hazard Tree Evaluation

This is a systematic process of assessing the potential for the tree or one of its parts to fail and injure people or property. The degree of hazard varies with the tree size, type, location of defect, tree species and the nature of the target area. We assess the trees potential to fail, the environment that may contribute to that failure and the target areas.

Tips

Be safe. Trimming a tree yourself may seem like a cost savings. But a fall, an injury or damage to your property will quickly erase those savings and then some.

Don’t guess. If you are attempting tree care yourself, please read up. Drastic efforts like topping or cutting limbs too close to the trunk will cause future problems with your tree.

Avoid pruning trees in close proximity to power lines.

If you do trim, do not paint on tree wound dressing. It is unnecessary and can actually hurt the tree.

For trees above arms reach, it’s always better to hire a Certified Arborist who is bonded, licensed & insured.
